Terms
Terms of service
Last updated: May 12, 2026
By using AfterGlow you agree to these terms. We try to keep them short and human. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
1. The service
AfterGlow (the “Service”) is a private event photo app operated by Balaji Nagisetty (“we,” “us”). Hosts open events (“films”), invite guests, everyone shoots together inside a fixed time window, and the host locks the film when it’s over.
2. Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for keeping that sign-in safe and for everything that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use AfterGlow. If you’re under 18, you confirm a parent or guardian agrees to these terms on your behalf.
3. Your content
You own the photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store and serve that content to the other members of the event you uploaded it to — and to nobody else outside that event. This licence ends when the photo is deleted or the event is removed.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Don’t upload content that infringes someone else’s rights, depicts a minor in an unsafe way, or violates the law where you are.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, abusive, harassing, or sexually explicit content involving anyone, especially minors.
- Use the Service to harass, dox, or intimidate another member of an event.
- Attempt to bypass payment, rate limits, or any security control.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy substantial parts of the Service.
- Resell or relicense AfterGlow access to third parties.
We may remove content and terminate accounts that violate these rules — at our discretion, sometimes without warning when safety or other users are at risk.
5. Payments
Hosting an event with more than 5 guests requires a one-time payment per event, billed in USD via Stripe. Prices are shown in the app before checkout. Paid tiers are not a subscription — you pay once for the event you create.
Once an event is paid for and live, payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If we charge you in error, email us — we’ll make it right.
Payment data is handled by Stripe under their own terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your full card number.
6. Hosts and guests
The host of an event chooses who joins, when shooting opens and closes, and when the film is locked. Once locked, the album is read-only for everyone, including the host.
Guests can leave an event at any time before lock, and can delete their own photos at any time before lock. After lock, the album is frozen for everyone.
7. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we’re required to by law. We’ll do our best to give notice when we reasonably can.
8. Service availability
We try to keep AfterGlow running smoothly. We don’t guarantee 100% uptime, error- free operation, or that any specific feature will exist forever. We may change or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or $20 if you paid nothing).
11. DMCA
If you believe content on AfterGlow infringes your copyright, send a notice to balaji.nagisetty@gmail.com with: (a) your contact info, (b) identification of the work, (c) the URL or location of the infringing content, (d) a statement made in good faith that the use is unauthorised, (e) a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorised to act on the rights holder’s behalf, and (f) your signature.
12. Changes
We may update these terms when our practices change. The “Last updated” date at the top will tell you when. For material changes we will surface a notice in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
